Team Camp Out Details

  • Date: Saturday, February 9th-Sunday, February 10th

  • Location: YMCA Camp St. Croix

  • Who: Team Members on the following teams: Seniors, Teen Intensive, Teen Elite, Junior Intensive, Petite Elite, Stars, Novas & Dazzlers.

We are so excited for the MDA Team Sleepover this year! We had such a fun time last year, we are excited for more to join us this year! We wanted to share with you some more detailed information about this weekend.

We have lots of fun activities planned, including teambuilding activities (indoors and outdoors!), scavenger hunt, sharing dances, group games, cabin time, campfire and more!

Weekend details

Drop Off & Pick Up:

If we need you to drive, you will be receiving an email with details of that. If you don’t receive an email, you will not need to drive. All MDA dancers will be assigned a carpool. Dancers are not allowed to drive themselves.

Drop Off: We will organize and head out after production is done at 2pm on Saturday. If your dancer is not in production, please drop them off at the studio at 2pm. If they are in production, please send them with all their belongings to Production, as we will head out shortly after.

Pick Up: We will plan to leave the camp around 3pm on Sunday. We will return back to the studio at 4pm on Sunday. Please plan on picking your dancer up at the studio at 4pm on Sunday.

Meal Time:

We will be eating in the camp’s dining hall. Dinner will be at 5:30pm on Saturday and breakfast at 8am and lunch at 12pm on Sunday. If you feel your child will need food other than that, please pack snacks. If you listed a dietary restriction/allergy for your child, this will be reported to the camp. There will be meal options for them to eat.

Cabin Assignments:

We will put together cabin assignments, by team for the weekend. Every dancer will share a cabin with multiple members from their team. We will also have an adult sleeping in each cabin, if anything were to arise during the night. 

Emergency Contact Information:

We will have adult chaperones that will be attending this weekend. We will provide a list once they have been determined. These chaperones will be with the dancers at all time. If you need to contact anyone this weekend, please feel free to reach out to any of the chaperones. Please use the contact information below, if an emergency should come up.

We will have a list of the phone number(s) you provided on the sleepover sign-up sheet, if we should need to reach you for any reason. If you would like to change/add a contact number for Saturday night, please let one of the front desk staff know.

Other Information:

This will be a fun weekend for bonding and getting to know all MDA Team dancers better! Please do not have your dancer bring electronics, with the exception of their phone. However, please encourage your dancer to keep their phone away- only for pictures! We will be encouraging the same thing throughout the weekend, so if you reach out to them and don’t hear from them right away, don’t be alarmed :)

Please let us know if you have any other questions before this weekend. If you have any comments or concerns, about your child attending this weekend, please share those with one of the chaperones attending.
