2023 TEAM AUDITIONS: JULY 24-27
REGISTERING FOR AUDITIONS IS A 2-STEP PROCESS. PLEASE COMPLETE BOTH STEPS TO ENSURE YOUR DANCER IS REGISTERED CORRECTLY.
If your dancer cannot attend auditions, they must participate in make-up auditions. When registering for auditions, please sign up for “Make Up Auditions.”

Log into your Parent Portal and register your child for 2023-2024 Team Auditions under Summer 2023.
Returning team dancers should register for auditions based on the grade they are entering for the 2023-2024 school year.
Recreational/Performance Line dancers should contact registration@mdadance.net for their level placement.
New to MDA dancers with less than two years of competition experience at the advanced level should contact registration@mdadance.net for their level placement
New to MDA dancers with more than two years of competition experience at the advanced level should register based on their 2023-2024 grade level.
TEAM INFORMATION
PRIMARY DIVISION: Kindergarten and Up
Core Program Classes: Tap, Jazz, Ballet, and Technique. Possible Lyrical options depending on the age/experience of the team.
Time Commitment:
Youngest dancers- The core program is 2-4 hours per week, depending on age and placement.
Older dancers- The core program is 4-6 hours, depending on age and placement.
Core Program Requirements:
Kindergarten-2nd Grade: Mini Invitational Required
3rd Grade and up: Auditions Required
2 summer ballet intensives (3rd Grade and Up) - Class Options
4 Conditioning and Technique classes (3rd Grade and Up) - Class Options
Optional Specialty Group Classes 3rd Grade and Up: MDA offers additional class opportunities in addition to the core program. These options could include additional technique classes, small groups, lines, or Production.
Time Commitment: 30-60 minutes/class, depending on age and placement
Specialty Group Requirements:
6 Conditioning and Technique classes plus core program requirements
UPPER DIVISION: 3rd Grade and Up
Core Program Requirements: Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Lyrical, Production, and Technique.
Time Commitment: 6-8 hours, depending on age and placement

MDA COMPANY
Select dancers in our Upper Division may earn a spot on our exclusive partially scholarship-based MDA Company. These dancers are not only chosen based on their high level of talent, but are also a positive ambassador of MDA.
AUDITION INFORMATION
Audition Dates: July 24-27
Dancers will be taught choreography for two days plus one day of review. On day four, dancers will audition the choreography in groups of 3-5.
Level 1: 9th-12th Grade
Level 2: 6th-8th Grade

Mini Invitational: July 24-25
Kindergarten-2nd grade interested in joining our youngest team in our primary division.

Pre-Audition Workshop Dates: July 17-20
The pre-audition workshop is strongly recommended but not required. Dancers are encouraged to participate in the pre-audition workshop to return to dance shape before auditions. Dancers participating in the pre-audition workshop will get a sneak peek into some of the combos that may be used during auditions. There is no Pre-Audition workshop for Kindergarten- 2nd graders.
